1990 - Sweetener Supply is established in Darien Illinois by Adolph "Sonny" Gardella & Thomas F. Speck as a distributor of food ingredients

1999 - Acquire the Brookfield Illinois bulk sugar & transfer facility ushering a new era for the company

2002 - Delicious Food Company of Chicago is acquired, a nearly 100 year old specialty blender & packer of molasses, syrups and honey

2008 - Introduction of Ridgeland Fibers with the construction of our Berwyn Illinois facility, offering functional dietary fibers to the baked good and pet nutrition industries & anti-cake solutions to the cheese industries

2012 - Our second Ridgeland Fiber operation opens in Elkhorn Wisconsin adding much needed capacity in the heart of America's dairyland

2017 - Nevada becomes a little "Sweeter" with the opening of our Reno facility expanding service to our growing West coast customer base

2021 - Our Wolcott Indiana distribution center opens which also features a brand-new Ridgeland Fiber milling & blending operation replacing the original Berwyn location

2022 - Acquire Buffalo New York based C.J. Irwin Co. a century old sugar broker and distributor expanding our reach into the Northeastern United States

2024 - A next chapter begins with the opening of our Thomasville North Carolina facility
